1. Form Data Processing

When you describe a gift recipient (age, interests, personality traits), this information is:

• Temporarily stored in your browser's session storage
• Sent to our server for processing
• Forwarded to OpenAI's API (located in the USA) to generate gift recommendations
• Immediately discarded after recommendations are generated

2. Third-Party Service: OpenAI

We use OpenAI's API to generate personalized gift ideas. Your form data is sent to OpenAI's servers in the USA. OpenAI's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy:

Important: OpenAI may use API data to improve their services unless you opt out through their enterprise agreement.

3. No Other APIs or Services

We only use OpenAI's API. We do not send your data to any other third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.

Input Protection & Validation

To protect your privacy, we have implemented multiple validation mechanisms that prevent you from accidentally entering personal information:

Automatic blocking of URLs, email addresses, phone numbers, and contact information
Content validation to detect and reject inappropriate or suspicious input
Character limits to ensure only relevant gift recipient descriptions are submitted
Bot protection via Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated abuse

Recommendation: Please describe the recipient in general terms (age, interests, hobbies) without including real names, contact details, or other personally identifiable information.

Cookies & Tracking

Session Storage Only: We use your browser's session storage to temporarily hold your form data and gift recommendations. This data:

• Stays only in your browser
• Is automatically deleted when you close the tab or browser
• Is never sent to our servers for storage

Cloudflare Turnstile: We use Cloudflare's Turnstile service for bot protection. Turnstile may set temporary cookies for verification purposes. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Amazon Affiliate Links

GetPerfectGifts is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. When you click on gift idea links, you are directed to Amazon's website. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

Important: Once you leave our site and visit Amazon, their privacy policy applies. We do not track your activity on Amazon or receive any information about your purchases beyond standard affiliate reporting.

Data Retention

We do not retain any user data. Your form input is processed in real-time and immediately discarded after generating gift recommendations. There are no databases, logs, or records of your searches.

Your Rights

Since we do not store your personal data, there is nothing to request, delete, or modify. Your information is never stored on our servers.
